Bringing Your Social Norms Campaign to Life: Utilizing Technology, Data, and Community Partners to Engage Your Campus

During this session, participants will explore new ways to utilize technology to measure student perceptions of their peer’s behavior and provide campus specific personalized normative feedback (PNF). In this presentation, attendees will also hear directly from Rutherford County’s local prevention coalition and how they partnered in alignment with MTSU’s social norms campaign to address vaping.

Learning Objectives
1. As a result of this session, attendees will be able to create their own online interactive tool to challenge student’s perceptions of their peer’s behavior.
2. Following this session, attendees will be able to analyze student perception data and provide personalized normative feedback (PNF) to close the perception gap.
3. From this session, attendees will understand the role that community and campus partner organizations can play in advancing your social norms campaign.
