During this session, Leslie will be be sharing examples of innovative initiatives that can be replicated without the need for a large budget, discussing tips and tricks for coalition engagement and capacity building, and demonstrating how the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) and CADCA Sectors can be utilized to build a coalition and increase sustainability.

From 2020-2023, Leslie managed a SAMHSA (PFS-PFS) grant with the goal of increasing access to substance use disorder (SUD) resources for historically marginalized populations (HMP). During that time, Leslie built a Task Force that included stakeholders from ten counties in NC and SC. OPT Out Task Force is a nationally recognized coalition that has successfully implemented multiple innovative initiatives and continues to build capacity and momentum. She also spent many years building capacity for a NC Collegiate Recovery Program. Join Leslie as she shares tips, tricks, and lessons learned to make your initiatives the best they can be!
